Welcome to Chepalungu Boys'
Chepalungu Boys’ is a county boarding school located in Chepalungu sub-county of Bomet county. The school was established in 2011 under the Economic stimulus programme and as a centre of excellence in Chepalungu. The first students were admitted in February 2011. The school stands on a 20 acre piece of land bordering Chepkulo river to the south, and adjacent to the Kaboson Administration police post and Kaboson Pastors’ Training College. The permanent river has enhanced constant supply of water for consumption.
The school has modern structures and has provided employment to the neighbouring community. The student enrollment has been consistently increasing to the current population of 700 boys from a paltry 289 learners in 2011 when the school begun. Similarly, the academic performance has also been improving consistently thereby enabling most students to transit to institutions of higher learning.
The teaching and learning experiences are supported by a team of 30 teachers; 14 of whom are employed by the Teachers Service Commission and the rest employed by the Board of Management. The teachers’ efforts are complimented by 15 essential staff who have are instrumental in ensuring that a conducive environment is created for the boys’. The school is managed by the constituted Board of Management as per the Basic Education Act and supported by the school principal, Parents’ Association, heads of departments and the student council.
